A beach awarded many times by Legambiente for the high quality of the sea and related services for bathing, recommended for those who go on holiday with the whole family. It is about 9 km from Castiglione della Pescaia and it is positioned south of Punta Ala.
The north area of Rocchette beach is mainly made up of cliffs, with several hidden coves that you can only reached by sea. Those who love diving will find in the immediately adjacent waters rocky seabed and a lot of caves.
Cove of (Cala di) Gesso in Argentario
Another beach considered one of the most beautiful and famous is the Cove of Gesso. Even this, as the most desirable beaches, is not exactly easy to reach but definitely worth the effort to get there. Cove of Gesso is a beach made up mainly of small pebbles and being close to the small island of Argentario offers you a fantastic view. Within the perimeter of the cove you can also admire some ruins of an ancient Spanish lookout tower.
