Populonia

Between the bay of Baratti and Piombino’s headland, site area of 80 hectares, there is the archaeological park of Baratti and Populonia, where Etruscan colonies lived, and where the town ofPopuloniarises up the hill.
The park, with its skilfully planned routes, includes the built-up area, dedicated to Etruscan’s customs, habits and religious cult. The industrial district, main source of their income, and the limestone caves, are available for visits.
You will have a magnificient sea view from the top of the hill.
In the lower part lies Archeological Museum: about 2000 finds are the sign of this site’s history.
